Marston Moretaine Protest March, 20th Sept 2008

Villagers from Marston Moretaine, Lidlington and Bogborough jouned forces to march in protest at the government's Eco? Town plans.

The turnout was strong, with over 700 people attending to make their feelings known.

Marchers included Nadine Dorries, MP for Mid Bedfordshire, who took a clear stand with the protesters by carrying the leading banner.

Protesters succeeded in closing off the A421 and surrounding roads in a peaceful and well-mannered protest. More photos of the march can be found in our photo gallery HERE.

Further protests are planned - keep your eyes on this web site or the leaflets coming through your village letterboxes soon!
