ECO TOWN DEVELOPERS PULL OUT OF GOVERNMENT'S COMPETITION

GREAT NEWS!
O&H have withdrawn their "Vision for the Marston Vale" from the Government's 'ECO?' Town programme - "Living a Greener Future"

We are obviously overjoyed that the voice of reason from our community has been heard in Whitehall.

This is a great tribute to people power - we could not have hoped for such a great result without all the support shown time and again during our campaign.

THE NOT SO GOOD NEWS

Unfortunately O&H are still trying to get a new town of 20,000 houses onto the farmland they own in the Vale.

They now say the development will be through the "plan led" system at Regional Government level.

However...

We DON'T WANT ANY NEW TOWNS in the Marston Vale.

Lidlington Action Group is a non-political group of volunteers determined to challenge the government's plans to build "Eco?" Towns in the Marston Vale.

This site will be used to communicate news and information to village residents and others from the surrounding communities. Please visit us often to learn the latest on the "Eco?" Town proposals and our grave concerns about the impact they will have on our pleasant rural village.

Most importantly, we really need YOUR help, and all offers of assitance will be gratefully received. We are particularly looking for people with legal and public relations experience to provide specialist advice to the Action Group as we take on the developers and the government. More calls for assistance will be made through this web site as the need arises!
